Piece by piece, with love and team power, our baby veggies are beginning to flower. With beetroot, peppers, onion and squash, and green tomatoes absolutely everywhere! Perhaps I should stick to the gardening and let the photos do the talking. : )

With great help from our friends of the Coffee Bay community, the children’s gardens are transforming gradually, but beautifully.  We have piglet proofed the fence, planted fruit trees and potatoes; wobbled up hills with wheel barrows of water and built a wonky bamboo archway and little pond. And we have the most wonderful new ‘fence door’, as little Carl says, to welcome the children back on Monday morning.

Big enkosi kakhulu to Ninty and Nomande my fellow gardeners, Phil for the front gate, Mali for donating the money from your surfboard. R2010! Nice one. Matthew for your donation and Mark for your paper maiche skills and getting us all covered in gue for fun friday. X  My next assignment is to find some monkies to help me build a jungle gym. Ooh a a

Be back soon with lots more photos. Smiles for now, Kate X
