Thobile, Lukholo and Mbulelo are going along very well.  They have been attending their daily homework classes (15h30 – 17h00 Monday – Friday) with me since July and their progress can definitely be seen!

Thobile was invited by Border Surfing to attend a surf competition for under 16’s in early December.  He and Ethan went off to East London and we are stoked to say that Thobile scored 4th place in the U16’s!!!!!

This is the 2nd competition he has attended and this has definitely motivated the other two boys to surf more often and more seriously.

The BOMBsurf crew spent time at Coffee Shack in early December, and whilst on their stay, the “Naked Surf” (sponsored by Island Tribe) was born.  Among the guys that participated in this event, was Thobile.  He went out there…..baring his butt ‘n all and just ‘did it’!

Lukholo and Mbulelo passed their 2010 academic year with very good reports, so we are looking for 2 simple bicycles……… to give them as rewards!  Lukholo is now in grade 4 and Mbulelo in grade 5.

Greetings from the boys to all their mates around South Africa and abroad!  Feel free to contact them on our e-mail address or write to them at P O Box 687, Mqanduli, 5080.

Stop Press:  There is a good chance that Lukholo and Mbulelo are going to a grom surf contest in East London on 5 February 2011 – their first one ever! 🙂

Will keep you posted.
